CoEMinerals launch a Targeted Peptide Platform to Transform Critical Minerals Recovery

Our very own CoEMinerals team, led by Prof. Chun-Xia Zhao and Dr. Guangze Yang, have developed a unique targeted peptide approach (PepMin), adapting cancer-drug design logic to enable cleaner, single-stage separation of critical minerals. In proof-of-concept studies, this novel approach achieved greater than 98% purity and above 95% recover of silver. The potential of the system has already garnered the attention of commercials partners, with a licensing agreement with Theia Metals being announced today. Congratulations to Prof. Chun-Xia Zhao, Dr Guangze (Daniel) Yang and the whole CoEMinerals team on this breakthrough.
