Workshop: Techniques in Projective and Polar Spaces

The Institute for Geometry and its Applications, the University of Adelaide, is hosting a Finite Geometry Workshop on Techniques in Projective and Polar Spaces during the week 12-16 January 1998.
The purpose of this workshop is to identify and further investigate techniques that have recently proved fruitful in obtaining results in finite projective and polar spaces. We will discuss open problems in the context of these and other techniques

Location
The workshop will be held in Room 102 of the Mathematics Building of the University of Adelaide.
Financial support
There may be some financial support available to interstate and overseas participants. Please indicate if you wish to be considered for support.
Workshop dinner
There will be a workshop dinner held on Thursday 15 January 1998. More details will available at the workshop.
Accomodation
Accomodation can be arranged at the Royal Adelaide Hospital Residential Wing which is adjacent to the University of Adelaide. Student rooms with shared facilities are $10 per night. There are several rooms with ensuite, lounge room and either one or two bedrooms (each bedroom containing twin beds). These rooms are $45 per night for one person and $55 per night for two or more people. Information about hotels can be provided on request.
