Workshop: Australia-China conference in noncommutative geometry and related areas

- Date: Mon, 18 - Fri, 22 Dec 2017
- Location: Room 7.15 Level 7 Ingkarni Wardli building, University of Adelaide
Noncommutative geometry (NCG) is a theory using algebra of operators to study a class of nonstandard spaces, initially arising from quantum mechanics.

2018 Differential Geometry Seminars
- Date: Fri, 2 Mar - Fri, 26 Oct 2018
- Location: North Terrace Campus: Various locations (see below)
School of Mathematical Sciences – The University of Adelaide.
Workshop: Index theory and applications to positive scalar curvature and related areas

- Date: Mon, 4 - Fri, 8 Jun 2018
- Location: Level 7 of the Ingkarni Wardli Building University of Adelaide, North Terrace Campus
The main theme of this workshop is Index Theory and its various generalisations and applications. Index Theory, which originated nearly 55 years ago with the fundamental work of Sir Michael Atiyah and Isadore Singer (Abel Prize winners in 2004), is a highly active area of research that acts as a bridge between topology, geometry, analysis with significant applications to mathematical physics.
2019 Differential Geometry Seminars
- Date: Tue, 22 Jan - Fri, 1 Nov 2019
- Location: North Terrace Campus: Various locations (see below)
School of Mathematical Sciences – The University of Adelaide.
Workshop: Analysis on manifolds

- Date: Mon, 30 Sep - Fri, 4 Oct 2019
- Location: Ingkarni Wardli building
This conference will bring together leading researchers from Australia and abroad working on different aspects of analysis on manifolds and more general geometric spaces. The meeting will include a variety of topics, such as partial differential equations, curvature flows, spectral theory, index theory and non-commutative geometry. A guiding motivation at will be applications to topology, geometry and physics, and talks will highlight applications of analytic techniques to problems in these areas. This way, we aim to inspire research on new bridges between different areas of analysis, geometry, topology and physics, to foster collaboration between researchers in these fields, and to inspire the next generation of mathematicians.
