Chemistry
Prize Level Awarded to The Rennie Scholarship Honours The student with the highest mark in the Honours Degree of Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. The G M Badger Prize Third year The student with a major in chemistry who has achieved the best weighted overall performance in Level III chemistry courses. The G S Laurence Prize Third year The student with the highest aggregate mark for practical work in Level III chemistry courses.
(Previously known as the ADUCHEM Prize in Practical Chemistry Level III)Rowe Scientific Chemistry Scholarship Third year A third-year student in the BSc, BSc (Advanced), BSc (Molecular & Drug Design) or BSc (Nanoscience & Materials). The Royal Australian Chemical Institute Prize Second year The student enrolled in a minimum of six units of Level II chemistry courses who achieves the best weighted overall performance in these courses. Gerald Laurence Prize in Practical Chemistry II Second year The student obtaining the highest aggregate mark for practical work in Level II chemistry courses.

Union Carbide Australia Award Third year The student with the best results in both Physical and Inorganic Chemistry III and Organic Chemistry III. -

Prize Level Awarded to Eric Rudd Memorial Scholarship Postgraduate A higher degree geoscience student studying mineral or petroleum exploration and intent on making a career in the resource industry. CRC LEME Regolith Science Scholarship Postgraduate A student researching regolith science by the Cooperative Research Centre for Landscape Environments and Mineral Exploration. The Aldermann Kleeman Scholarship Postgraduate A student to assist them present research at a major international conference, spend periods of time at some of the best geoscience institutes, or visit key geological locations. The Paul Samuel Hossfeld Scholarship Postgraduate A student undertaking postgraduate research in quaternary geology. Demonstrator of the Year Postgraduate A staff member for outstanding contribution to undergraduate teaching in earth sciences. The Adelaide Microscopy 'Best User' Award Honours The 'best user' in the geology honours program. The Tate Memorial Medal Honours The geology honours student who obtains the best results. The Zonge Prize in Geophysics Honours The geophysics honours student who obtains the best results. James Barrans Scholarship Third year The top geoscience student in Level III geology courses proceeding to an honours degree in geology, geophysics or petroleum geology. The Kingsgate Prize for Excellence in Geoscience Second year The student with the highest average mark in Structural Geology II and Sedimentary Geology II. Brian Daily Prize - Bronze Second year To the third placed student in the field mapping camp for the subject Structural Geology II. Brian Daily Prize - Silver Second year To the second placed students in the field mapping camp for the subject Structural Geology II. Brian Daily Prize - Gold Second year To the first placed students in the field mapping camp for the subject Structural Geology II. Glen Leigh Scotford Memorial Prize Second year The student who gained the highest average mark in Igneous and Metamorphic Geology II and Geochemistry II. Reg Sprigg Prize First year The student with the best overall mark in Earth's Interior I and Earth Systems I and proceeds to enrol in second year geosciences the following year. Robin Oliver & Pat James Prize First year The top student in Earth's Interior I and who proceeds to enrol in the course Igneous and Metamorphic Geology II. -

Prize Level Awarded to Tong Scholarship in Physics Postgraduate Students studying a PhD in physics with a preference for theoretical physics. The David Sutton Memorial Prize Honours The highest achieving experimental physics honours student. The H S Green Prize Honours The highest achieving theoretical physics honours or high performance computational physics honours student. The Angas Hurst Prize Third year The student majoring in theoretical physics with the highest grade point average. The Fred Jacka Memorial Prize Third year The student majoring in physics with the highest grade point average in Level III laboratory-based experimental courses. Australian Institute of Physics (SA Branch) Claire Corani Memorial Prize Second year The top female student completing at least a one third load in second year physics. The Sir Kerr Grant Memorial Prize First year The student with the highest overall grade in Astronomy I or Space Science and Astrophysics I.
