The picoFAB is a state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility within the University’s Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences (ECMS), focused on the growth of new materials—atomic layer by atomic layer.

Located at the University of Adelaide’s main North Terrace campus, the facility is the result of a partnership between the University and Australia-based global technology powerhouse Silanna Group, with additional support provided by the South Australian government.

The picoFAB brings world-leading capability to South Australia, enabling precise engineering of new semiconducting crystal structures for use in the commercialisation of new and innovative semiconductor devices.
