Things to know before expressing interest in honours

  • If you have completed your undergraduate degree outside the University of Adelaide, you must supply an official transcript before your application can be processed. This document/s must be the original or a certified copy. ‘Justices of the Peace' are available within the campus to certify documents.
    • If you are currently completing your undergraduate degree outside the University of Adelaide, supply an unofficial transcript. This document can be a scanned copy. Upon completion of your degree you must supply an official transcript.
  • The minimum entry requirement for our honours program is a qualification equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. Further eligibility requirements can be sought from the relevant honours coordinator.
  • If you intend to complete your Australian bachelor degree in the summer or winter school period immediately prior to starting honours, you must contact the Student Service Hub.
  • If you apply for honours in the disciplines of physics, chemistry, or petroleum geology and geophysics, you are not required to add details of supervisor and project preference. The allocation of supervisors and projects will be done at commencement of honours. Please put N/A in these fields.
  • Honours offers will be sent by email. You are strongly advised to provide a current and correct email address and postal address that you will be able to check and respond from.
  • Recommendation of honours may be made in advance of you receiving your final grades. In such cases, you may commence the undergraduate internal transfer process. However, your admittance into honours will be conditional on obtaining the required grades for the courses to complete your bachelor program.
  • If you are an international student and are NOT currently studying at the University of Adelaide, you will need to apply through the International Students Office in addition to the expression of interest below.

If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Student Service Hub.
