The Acid Sulfate Soils Centre (ASSC) brings together a world-class multidisciplinary team of scientists in the University of Adelaide, CSIRO, and other agencies in Australia and overseas.

The team conducts pure and applied research on acid sulfate soils in order to increase knowledge in the areas of soil and water geochemistry, mineral exploration, site rehabilitation, assessment and management of acid drainage and ecosystem impacts, and infrastructure risks.

A workshop was held at the National Soils Conference in Canberra in November 2018.
