A message from the Deputy Dean (Learning & Teaching)

Braden Phillips

Ingenuity is coming up this Wednesday 2 November. While colleagues from engineering will be very familiar with the event, this year is the first time we have run it as the Faculty of SET. Ingenuity is the Faculty’s largest event of the year. This year it will showcase SET student projects in the fields of science, architecture, engineering, computer science, and mathematics, but there are great opportunities for it to grow and change, just as the Faculty is doing.

Please consider heading down to the Adelaide Convention Centre between 9:30am and 3:30pm on Wednesday. Entry is free. Take the opportunity to talk to our students and their academic and industry supervisors and help them celebrate their achievements. While there, I invite you to keep an eye out for new ways we can collaborate across SET, and to consider how Ingenuity might look next year. School events, talks, information sessions, industry events… how can we make best use of this exciting platform?

Let me conclude with a final note of thanks to all the staff who have put such a lot of work into making sure Ingenuity runs again this year.
