Case Studies
Each of the case studies is based on a combination of real issues which have been brought together to create fictitious veterinary practices.
The authors, Adele Feakes and Diane Whatling, have created the case study scenarios and examples of simplified financial reports and fee schedules as introductory learning materials. Assignments and workshop discussions are based on these rich and problematic case studies for scenario based learning.
The young veterinarians in these case studies are presented with a range of challenges and opportunities. Although the practices have performed well in the past, they both present opportunities for improvement. By engaging with these case study practices, the students will acquire understanding about various factors that affect workplace performance of veterinary practices.
