Computer Science Learning Centre
The Computer Science Learning Centre (CSLC) is a highly adaptable space that’s easily tailored to our students’ needs—whether hosting small-group project work, meetings or coding club workshops.
With a small number of computers, lots of whiteboard space and movable furniture, the CSLC is the ideal space for collaborative learning.
Free student-led tutoring
Third-year and postgraduate computer science students are regularly available in the centre for on-demand programming assistance, including in relation to:
- inheritance/objects
- pointers
- language syntax
- using Unix or SVN (Apache Subversion).
Although primarily designed for our first- and second-year students, the service is open to anyone wanting programming support.
No bookings required for small groups
CSLC is a casual learning area, so you don’t need to worry about booking the space for groups of up to 10 people.
For groups larger than 10, however, you will need to reserve the space. Contact our school office, Computer Science club executive committee or school student representatives.
Location and opening times
You’ll find the CSLC at Level 1, room EM 110, Engineering Maths Building.
It’s open 24 hours, seven days a week. Computer science students gain access by simply swiping their student ID card.
