Our multi-disciplinary learning environment allows students to gain real-life work experience. Informed by research expertise and deep industry insights, our degrees introduce students to contemporary built and natural environment challenges.
Our fully accredited courses focus on architectural design studies and engineering design workshops in state-of-the-art facilities. This replicates professional practice and makes graduates career ready.
Opportunities through professional institutes
Engage with industry through our close connection with professional institutes. Connect with industry practitioners through events, mentoring, awards programs, office visits and more at partners including:
- Engineers Australia
- Concrete Institute of Australia
- The Australian Institute of Architects (AIA)
- Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) – includes student divisions of ‘SAILA Fresh’ and Student Organised Network for Architecture (SONA)
- Emerging Architects and Graduate Network (EmAGN)
- SA Young Planners
- Australian Institute of Building (AIB)
- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
Industry placements and work-based training
Across all four disciplines, our industry placements immerse students in professional practice. Students undertake work-based training.
We champion creative industry partnerships and community engagement to expose students to live architecture and engineering projects – ranging from humanitarian concerns, local NGO initiatives, and work with local primary schools through to fabricating experimental prototypes.
