Bachelor of Architectural Design
The Bachelor of Architectural Design at the University of Adelaide is an exciting undergraduate degree that prepares you for the widest range of postgraduate study options and careers.

The structure of the degree provides you with a broad knowledge base that allows you to specialise in architecture, landscape architecture, planning, planning (urban design), property or construction project management at postgraduate level, meaning you will have the entire three years of study to work out which direction you wish to take your career – the world is your oyster.
Your experience
- travel both overseas and interstate as part of your studies.
- gain first-hand experience through an Internship program, allowing you to apply knowledge and skills related to your studies in a workplace setting.
- access State of the Art Model Making Laboratory with laser cutters, 3D scanners/digitisers, 3D printers, foam cutters, and computer-aided architectural design studios (CAAD) that feature industry-standard computational design technologies, needed to prepare designers for the digital era.
Becoming a practising architect/landscape architect
To become a practising architect, you need to complete a minimum of 5 years of study. With us, this means you will complete our Bachelor of Architectural Design (3 years), then a Masters program (2-3 years) to qualify for registration as a practising architect.
