Joshua Zeunert

Dr Joshua Zeunert is a Registered Landscape Architect, urbanist, teacher, author, speaker, and consultant with a focus on environmental design and strategy. Josh has a particular interest in regenerative landscapes and food systems. He is passionate about improving social and environmental conditions through creative yet grounded approaches to thinking and acting. Joshua has published three books including the multi-award-winning Landscape Architecture and Environmental Sustainability: Creating Positive Change through Design (Bloomsbury, London, 2017), lead editor for the Routledge Handbook of Landscape and Food (Routledge, London, 2018, with Tim Waterman), in addition to various book chapters, journal articles and other research outputs. Joshua has worked with internationally-awarded Landscape Architecture and Urban Design practices McGregor Coxall, Taylor Cullity Lethlean and Peter Stutchbury Architecture. He was a founding member of the AILA award-winning Biocity Studio (2006) and a co-host and founding member of ‘The Plan’ (2011), an award-winning weekly radio show in Adelaide that focuses on ‘Architecture, Environment and Affect’. Career achievements include being labelled “Urban Warrior: Adelaide’s greenest ex-pat” (Adelaide Magazine 2008), the AILA National Bruce Mackenzie Future Leaders Scholarship (2009) and being featured in a portrait exhibition titled ‘Celebrating Innovators’ at Federal Parliament House in Canberra (2012).
