  • ARC funding: in the November 2017 announcement of Discovery Projects 2018 round 1, CSSM director Professor Tony Thomas (with three colleagues from other institutions) was successful in obtaining a three-year grant for $371,950. The project aims to leverage Australian capacity in nuclear theory to produce the first predictive model with a modern realistic nuclear interaction, with regards to the structure and interactions of atomic nuclei in terms of their microscopic constituents.
