Abstract: I'm supposed to tell you what we'll be talking about, but there's such a good surprise coming that I don't think I will. Instead, I'll only say that we'll be looking at a mechanics problem that involves collisions, systems of linear equations, live MATLAB simulations, co-ordinate transformations and a Taylor series. 

If you want to see how all of these fit together, you'll have to come along - although a private investigator may be able to figure it out initially.
