Aerospace research project grants - 3 available

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Adelaide Section, as part of its role to promote research in the aerospace industry, will award three grants up to the value of $300 each for final year undergraduate university research projects based in Adelaide, South Australia.

To be eligible for funding, the projects must:

  • Be conducted by University students during 2019 calendar year
  • Have either an aeronautical or aerospace focus
  • Have a clearly defined objective and goals, and
  • Must be completed before 1/12/19

The successful applicants will be able to show that their project best fits the AIAA’s mission to inspire and advance the future of aerospace for the benefit of humanity.

The successful applicants will be required to give a 20-minute presentation to industry representatives and the general public at an AIAA Adelaide Section sponsored event. The evening event will be in November 2019 (exact date to be confirmed).

Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications for the Region VII Student Paper Conference held in Gold Coast, Queensland in early December 2019. The most successful project may be eligible for travel support to the Student Paper Conference.

Applications must be submitted by Monday 8 July.
