Meet Fei Yang

Why did you choose to study Architectural Design?

I have always been passionate about travelling and architecture, and making hand-crafted things was part of me long before I noticed.  Studying architecture at the University of Adelaide really gives me the opportunity to discover what I am capable of and figure out who I want to become.

Why did you choose to study at the University of Adelaide?

I grew up in a busy and crowded city and needed a change in life. Adelaide is that city providing peace and stillness, which is why I chose to spend my university time here.

Additionally, the University of Adelaide is enriched by long history and global achievements.

How do you think a degree from the University of Adelaide will assist your future career?

My degree gave me opportunities to build strong connections with valuable people from different cultural backgrounds, and I believe this will help open doors for me in the future.

What advice would you give to other international students starting their studies in Adelaide?

Try to get out of your comfort zone and put yourself out in English-speaking occasions! Develop your critical-thinking and communication skills, be creative and open-minded.

Finishing her Bachelor of Architectural Design this year, Fei Yang will continue on to her Master in Architecture in 2022. We're excited to see what's next!
