Optoelectronic Technology Innovation Award and Best Paper Award Named at Optoelectronics Global Conference

Supported by IEEE and SPIE the 8th OGC showcased talent from across the globe

Dr. Siu Wai Ho from the School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, and Dr Chung Shue Chan (Calvin) from NOKIA, were awarded the ‘Optoelectronic Technology Innovation Award’ and ‘Best Paper Award’ at the IEEE/SPIE 8th Optoelectronics Global Conference (OGC 2023) for their joint paper on “Visible Light Communication Based Positioning Using Color Sensor.”
OGC is a global venue of optoelectronics for communications and fundamental optics, supported by IEEE and SPIE.

The 9th Optoelectronics Global Conference (OGC 2024) will take place in Shenzhen, China on 10-13 September 2024.
