2019 Walk a mile in my boots - Hutt St Centre

Walk a mile in my boots

Join the University of Adelaide's team and step up for South Australia's homeless.

This event is held annually to support the 6,000 people in South Australia facing homelessness and is an opportunity to experience what it’s like to wake up on a chilly winter’s morning and look for something to eat, a hot cup of tea or coffee and a friendly face.

Starting from Victoria Park on Wakefield Road and ending at the corner of Hutt Street and South Terrace, the walk will be followed by a traditional Hutt St Centre BBQ breakfast in the South Park Lands.

You can register as an individual online and join the University of Adelaide team by clicking the orange 'Join team' button, then add the University of Adelaide on the registration page. Part of the registration includes a free University of Adelaide branded beanie (for new registrations only) and a KeepCup.

When: 9 August, 7am for a 7.30am start
Where: Starting at Victoria Park/Pakapakanthi and ending at the corner of Hutt Street/South Terrace

Those who are unable to join in on the day are encouraged to donate. Contact Tania Johnson in External Relations for further information.
