Spirit of Place explores South Australian contemporary Aboriginal architecture, landscape architecture and placemaking.
The collection of works represents the diversity of design responses to South Australia’s rich Aboriginal cultures. Projects on display were selected based on their success across one or more of the following criteria:
- Contribution to Aboriginal wellbeing
- Cultural relevance to place and country
- Aboriginal involvement in the engagement process
- Innovation
- Design excellence
The projects are supported by artworks that are inspired by connections to place.
