Peter Brooker Conference Travel Prize

The Peter Brooker Conference Travel Prize, which is donated annually of up to $3000 by Dr Peter Brooker, recognises excellence in Geostatistics and Mathematical Geology in the fields of Geology, Geophysics, Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics.

It is awarded to an enrolled postgraduate research student using significant mathematical techniques to address a problem in the earth sciences, and is used to cover travel and conference costs (not for funding miscellaneous activities).

To be eligible for the prize, you must be:

  • enrolled in a postgraduate research program of study in the discipline areas of earth sciences, engineering or mathematical sciences; and
  • working on a problem in mathematical geology; using significant mathematical techniques to address a problem in the earth sciences.

Applications for the Prize must be accompanied by a detailed Travel Plan, budget, draft abstract of the presentation and a supporting statement from their principal supervisor, which you will be prompted to add through the form below.
