PhD Top-up Scholarship: Centre for Invasive Species Solutions

A top-up scholarship is available to work with Prof. Joshua Ross and Dr Thomas Prowse on a project entitled Modelling Multi-strain RHDV Dynamics in Exotic Rabbits.

This is an exciting project that will focus on developing methods for fitting stochastic, multi-strain, coupled ecological-epidemiological models to spatio-temporal data and, using one of the best available time-series datasets in disease ecology, will address applied questions in rabbit biocontrol.

The Centre for Invasive Species Solutions (CISS) will support the PhD student with:

  • $10k per annum in top-up to their RTP scholarship
  • $7k per annum for operating expenses, and
  • additional support to attend training courses and conferences.

Through CISS, the student will also be mentored by leading applied researchers and modellers from across Australia.

Applicants would need to be successful in their application for a PhD project and RTP scholarship in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Adelaide.

If you are interested, then please contact Joshua or Thomas for further information.
