Applications open: Engineers Without Borders

Have you thought about undertaking your practical experience overseas? Do you want your project to make a difference?

There are currently $3000 New Colombo Plan grants on offer for engineering students with Engineers Without Borders in Cambodia, Nepal and Timor-Leste.

EWB have now opened applications for December 2019 and February 2020.

You have until Sunday 8 September 2019 to apply for these opportunities.

Cambodia: EWB Cambodia Humanitarian Design Summit

The Humanitarian Design Summit provides an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the role engineering and technology play in creating positive change within communities. You have the choice of two dates:

  • Term 4 2019 – 2 December to 15 December, 2019
  • Summer School 2020 - 3 February to 16 February, 2020

Nepal: EWB Nepal Humanitarian Design Summit

Similar to the summit held in Cambodia, the Humanitarian Design Summit in Nepal provides an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the role engineering and technology play in creating positive change within communities. The travel dates are:

  • Summer School 2020 – 3 February to 16 February, 2020

Timor-Leste: Project Everest Timor-Leste (ECMS students)

Thanks to the Australian Government's New Colombo Plan there is funding available for students from the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences to visit Timor-Leste with Project Everest and be involved in either their Recycling Solutions or Fuel Assessment programs. You have the choice of travel dates:

  • Term 4 2019: 25 November - 21 December 19
  • Summer School 2020: 5 January - 29 January  OR  3 February - 29 February
