UofA in the Top 100 in Times Higher Education subject rankings
The University of Adelaide’s Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Science (ECMS) continues its rise in international rankings, now being rated in the Top 100 for the first time in two subjects, ‘Engineering and Technology’ and ‘Computer Science’ in the recently released Times Higher Education Subject Rankings.
This represents a substantial improvement in the recent period, with both subjects, ranked well outside the Top 100 only three years ago (Eng and Tech, 114 and Computer Science, 130).
ECMS Director of Academic Excellence, Assoc. Professor Mark Thyer says this shows the depth of talent across a broad range of engineering areas, as the Times Higher Education Subject ‘Engineering and Technology’, covers Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical and Aerospace Engineering.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 include more than 1,500 universities across 93 countries and regions, making them the largest and most diverse university rankings to date. The table is based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
