University of Adelaide academics elected as IEEE Fellows

The University of Adelaide’s Associate Professor Mathias Baumert and Adjunct Associate Professor Luke Rosenberg have been elected as 2024 IEEE Fellows for their significant contributions to technological advancements. The prestigious IEEE Fellowship is an esteemed distinction reserved for an individual’s work that has left an indelible mark on the field of technology.

Associate Professor Mathias Baumert – a highly regarded biomedical researcher within the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering – is at the forefront of creating novel technologies to address health issues. He works closely with leading medical scientists, testing innovative technologies to ascertain their clinical values and effectiveness in a practical healthcare setting. The IEEE Fellowship stands as a testament to his commitment to innovation and excellence in the realm of biomedical engineering.

Adjunct Associate Professor Luke Rosenberg has been recognised for his pioneering contributions to radar image formation. The IEEE Fellowship honours his dedication to pushing the boundaries of technological possibilities within this area and he is a valued member of the university’s engineering community.
