United Nations Global Road Safety Week

The Fifth United Nations Global Road Safety Week will focus on "leadership for road safety". Held from 6-12 May 2019, UN Global Road Safety Week aims to generate demand from the public for stronger leadership on road safety, with a view towards evidence-based solutions and inspiring leaders to take action.

On 8 September 2017 an inquiry into the National Road Safety Strategy (NRSS) 2011-2020 was announced by the then federal transport minister Darren Chester.
