Internship: Data Scientist for AI against modern slavery
The Future Society is offering a three month remote internship to support a project looking into how AI can be used for reading and benchmarking businesses’ reports on modern slavery.
This position is open to international students and is suited to a student graduating soon or recent graduate studying Masters in Data Science.
Students and graduates of a bachelor degree may apply but must demonstrate that they have completed other work experience. The successful data scientist intern will assist the Research Engineer and Project Manager to build a structured database, provide input in the overall roadmap of the project, test and improve proposed approaches and solutions, and supporting and participating in relevant events.
The ideal candidate will have experience with
- natural language processing, text preprocessing and analysis methods
- mastery of python
- web scraping
- SQL and NoSQL data stores,
- be able to use standard collaboration tools such as Git.
