Using Recycled Rubber to Stabilise Adelaide's Expansive Soil

Discarded tires are among the most significant and most problematic sources of solid waste, owing to extensive production and their durability over time. 

Recently, the University of Adelaide, in collaboration with Downer and the City of Charles Sturt has successfully undertaken a field trial of recycled tire-derived ground rubber (GR) for road subgrade stabilisation.
