4 ECMS researchers in The Australian's Lifetime Achievers Leaderboard

Congratulations to the four Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical (and only University of Adelaide) researchers who have been listed in our nation's top 40 researchers, as named by The Australian. 


The Lifetime Achievers Leaderboard lists the five top researchers from Australian universities and research institutions in each of the eight major discipline areas, based on each researcher's H-index per annum, measuring both productivity and impact.

  • Professor Shizhang Qiao | Materials Engineering
    School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials
    Professor Shizhang Qiao's research interests are synthesis and characterisation of nanomaterials.
  • Professor Shaobin Wang | Chemical Kinetics and Catalysis
    School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials
    Professor Shaobin Wang's research includes nanomaterial synthesis and application for adsorption and catalysis.
  • Professor Peng Shi | Automation and Control Theory
    School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering 
    Professor Peng Shi researches systems and control theory, and computational intelligence.
  • Professor Chunhua Shen | Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition
    School of Computer Science, Australian Institute for Machine Learning
    Professor Chunhua Shen's research interests are statistical machine learning and computer vision.
