Apply for Engineering internships starting early January

Internships enable you to develop connections with prospective employers through a range of practical projects, internships and industry-led teaching.

We have a huge range of internships designed specifically for Engineering students to gain valuable skills and networks.

  • VAF Memstar: Automation of oxygen pumps used in our Micro-Oxygenation system
Suitable for an electrical or electronic engineer, we want to upgrade our existing Micro-Oxygenation system by incorporating wireless control features to the air pumps. The current Micro-Oxygenation system consists of an air pump connected to permeable silicone tubes. Oxygen diffuses through the silicon tubes into the wine. The amount and frequency of oxygen required to accelerate the maturation of the wine depend on the characteristics of the wine. Through this project, we are looking to develop an electrical control system that can us to control and monitor multiple air pumps remotely by using a computer via WiFi/Bluetooth/Ethernet Cable. And potentially exploring the options of developing a mobile app.
