News and Story Submissions for Students

Does your student society have an event coming up? Maybe your Honours project won awards?

If you have any news, an upcoming event, an amazing study story or other item you would like to share, please use the following form. Where the story will be shared is up to the discretion of the faculty marketing team, however typical promotion includes:

  • Faculty blog
  • monthly What's on eDM for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students
  • fortnightly Connect for HDR students and staff
  • our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter)
  • LCD screens situated around Ingkarni Wardli

All submissions must be associated with the University of Adelaide and the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and technology. Please note that we require at least 2 weeks notice to be able to promote effectively across our channels.

Submissions may be sent to the Executive Dean for final approval and may be edited to fit requirements.

Where the information is shared is up to the discretion of the ECMS Marketing Team. Our promotion channels include:

  • the ECMS blog, found at the bottom of the ECMS homepage
  • LCD screens found throughout Ingkarni Wardli
    • Imagery can be made by the ECMS team, or if you wish to supply your own, the dimensions must be 1920x1080px.
  • our social media channels, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn
  • What's on in ECMS, monthly UG and PGC email which is sent on the final Wednesday of every month
  • ECMS Connect, fortnightly staff and HDR student email

Please note that while we will endeavour to promote your story as widely as possible, we require 2-3 weeks notice to be able to ensure maximum coverage and inclusion in all of our promotion mediums.

  • images to be used for web (these must be minimum 1166px x 875px). Images are necessary if you wish to have your news/story/event promoted on social media.
    • To find the dimensions of your picture (on Windows):
      • Right click on your picture and select "Properties"
      • Select "Details" in the top toolbar
      • Under "image" you will see the pixel dimensions of your file.
  • images to go on the LCD screens in Ingkarni Warldi if you are supplying this (these must be 1920px x 1080px). 
  • any relevant files ie., Terms & Conditions, application forms etc. preferably in PDF format
  • a Word Doc here if you have a large amount of text with many URL links.
