Science at home: Wine tasters wanted for new study

Scientists are looking for regular wine consumers to participate in a 'Wine Perception Study' in their own home.

The research by the University of Adelaide School of Agriculture, Food and Wine and University of Nottingham Sensory Team aims to gain a greater understanding of the perception of certain attributes in wine, including mouthfeel and flavour.

Participants will undertake three sensory sessions of 35 minutes each. Each session will involve answering questions on like and perception based on the sensory attributes of a selection of wines.

After completing all three sessions, participants will receive a $10 voucher and be able to keep the wine glasses provided with the distribution pack.

Only one participant per household is permitted. No specific wine knowledge or education is required to take part in this study.
