Dr Mohammad Mohsen Sarafraz awarded Alfred Deakin Postdoctoral Research Fellowship for 2020
Congratulations to Dr Mohammad Mohsen Sarafraz, visiting Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials who has recently been awarded Victoria's most prestigious postdoctoral fellowship, the Alfred Deakin Postdoctoral Research Fellowship for 2020.

The ECMS Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Travelling Scholarship was established to support higher degree by research students who present study-related research at a peer-reviewed conference. Applications close 31 March 2020.

This week we saw a vibrant and impressive display of our student projects at Ingenuity 2019. Filling the exhibition halls of the Adelaide Convention Centre we welcomed over 5000 attendees, from school students to members of industry.

Student group takes home Chemeca 2019 award
On Tuesday 1 October, our 2018 Level 4 Plant Design student group won the 2019 IChemE Australasian Design Prize valued at AUD$5,000. The Australasian Design Prize recognises the outstanding Final Year Design Project from New Zealand and Australian University Chemical Engineering Departments.
