PhD opportunity for Chemical Engineers: Develop catalyst materials for future fuels by operando computation
This project aims to design catalyst materials for the production of future fuels (green ammonia, hydrocarbon and alcohol). Facilitated by advanced computation techniques and reliable catalyst materials design procedure, this project will address the biggest challenge in future fuel generation, which is the lack of efficient catalyst materials.
PhD opportunity: Create a platform to test smart grid operation mechanisms
This project aims to develop, test, and verify the impacts of local markets on the operation, profit and business model of the aggregator. To that end, the game theory will be used to form the interaction between prosumers, local market platform and the aggregator operation considering the potential of islanded operation as a business case for the aggregator. Applications open until filled.

PhD opportunity: Modelling and Quantification of Food Deserts
This project will combine mathematical modelling and data science approaches to improve our understanding of how food deserts arise in a city, accounting for community factors such as median household income, local geography, and other relevant population demographics. Applications close 16 April 2021.
