RoboRoos set to compete at World FLL Festival in USA
After taking out 2nd place at the 2018 National FIRST Lego League (FLL) Team Championships in Sydney in December, the RoboRoos – a team of middle-school-aged boys and girls passionate about robotics – have been invited to compete in the World FLL Festival held in Detroit, Michigan in April 2019.

2nd John Burland Lecturer Announced
Congratulations to Professor Mark Jaksa from the School of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering who has recently been selected as the 2nd John Burland Lecturer by the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering’s (ISSMGE) Technical Committee TC306 in Geo-engineering Education. The award recognises excellence in geotechnical engineering education internationally, both in practice and research.
Ray Stalker Award – High Achieving Young Professionals and Students in the Australian Aerospace Industry
This year the Australian Division of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Australian Youth Aerospace Association established the Ray Stalker Award to recognise exceptional young professionals within the Australian aerospace industry for their outstanding achievements.
